Classical Christian Education is an educational model that includes the teaching of the trivium with a biblical worldview. What is the trivium? The Trivium is a method of teaching that focuses on 3 of the 7 liberal arts: grammar, logic and rhetoric. These arts serve as a foundation for the remaining arts that would be taught in higher education. We teach this method with a distinctively Christian perspective.
The Trivium
Grammar
Logic
Rhetoric
The study of language and the mechanics of learning facts and data.
The study of how and why facts fit together, and the ability to analyze and reason logically.
The study of how to use knowledge and understanding to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively.
The Importance of Latin
We teach Latin because it fosters mental discipline, cultivates literary appreciation, and enables mastery of English and other romantic languages. Moreover, a significant portion of medical and legal terms originate from Latin. In fact, over 50% of the English language is derived from Latin.
